Mark Graham directs the Wayback Machine at the Internet Archive, and he has been building online services since 1984, including AOL’s first interface to Internet services in 1992. We met to plan how ithistory.org can use the Wayback Machine to repair link rot across our records and keep every citation working indefinitely. Tens of thousands of IT History Society records point to pages on other websites, and when those pages disappear, the Wayback Machine is how the references stay alive.
