Brewster Kahle founded the Internet Archive in 1996, and he also serves on the board of the IT History Society, which I chair. I visited him at the Archive’s headquarters in San Francisco, a former church whose sanctuary now houses servers alongside statues of longtime staff. We talked about ways ITHS and the Archive can support each other’s work, including a catalog that would index the computing oral histories held by archives around the world.
