I travel in some interesting circles, but even I won’t pretend to have leaders of nations on my daily social calendar… We had to jump at the opportunity, when I discovered we could meet Juan Manuel Santos (President of Colombia from 2010-2018) and some of the people who helped to broker peace with the FARC paramilitary group (which had been plaguing the nation with violence for 50+ years, until a peace accord last year). What an honor!
